ABOUT US

Formed in 1981 Manorcroft is one of the longest serving Junior Clubs in the area. Having originally been based in Egham via the Hythe and Magna Carta schools the Club fell behind new Junior Clubs through the 90’s.

In 2008 a new committee took on the Club and took the bold step to move the Club to ‘one’ venue at Coopers Hill Lane.

Since 2008 the Club with the support of the Coopers Hill Recreational Trust have flourished and the number of teams within the Club has doubled. For the 2018/19 season the Club will enter a minimum of 21 teams across a complete age range of under 7’s to our 1st Team.

Since 2009 the Club has worked in partnership with Active Soccer and we have a number of community programmes which have helped children in the local community across a variety of age ranges, our Manorcroft 5’s (formally future stars) offers Reception & Year 1 children the chance to train with our professional coaches for just £1 a week. The Club has also run a number of FA Level 1 coaching courses and supported our 14 + year old members in taking their refereeing qualifications.

The aim of our club is to offer all children in the local area the opportunity to enjoy the game and we have a fully inclusive focus so that children can benefit from the coaching offered at our Club on training nights.

As a Club we strongly stick to our core principles and this is something which has been recognised by a number of professionals and governing bodies, our 1st team is made up of over 80% ex Manorcroft Juniors so we truly boast an achievable progression route. Our 1st team have gained 4 promotions in 7 seasons using players developed here in Englefield Green.

OUR FUTURE

The 2017/18 Season was a revolutionary and exciting season for our Club.

Keeping with our progressive outlook from the 2017/18 ALL our teams will be coached professionally by FA qualified coaches who will work to our development syllabus. Having professional coaches will not only help the children develop better skills, the coaches will work to help develop our young men and women along the FA Four Corner module which includes developing social skills, a good attitude toward winning and losing and tolerance of situations and different personalities.

Our Volunteer managers and coaches will also benefit from working with professionally trained individuals which means that our already outstanding welfare, development and fun environment will become even better.

The 2017/18 season will also be the first season that we will offer a mid-week youth team which will come under the 1st team set up and will form an even stronger progression route to our senior side for our juniors.

The youth team will be the final link for the Club with the local education providers having already formed strong links with the local primary schools, the local secondary schools and now completing the process a firm ‘exit’ route for those playing football at the local colleges.
